Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI) Exton, PA - January 2, 1999: Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI), a provider of process control solutions and engineering services, announced it has received a contract from a major pulp and paper manufacturer in Columbus, MS for the implementation of AAI's Lime Kiln Optimization System (LKOS(tm)).

The LKOS System developed by AAI optimizes the Lime Kiln Process in a pulp mill. The system utilizes AAI fuzzy logic of Tunnel Control(tm) technology to automate the Lime Kiln process. Benefits of the LKOS(tm) system include: Single point of control for production changes via AAI's 'Sweet Spot' interface Reduced standard deviations of residual carbonate Reduced fuel consumption Increased overall stability Increased production capacity Increased overall efficiency Increased equipment protection

The project is scheduled for completion in the spring of 1999.
