Champion International Awards Automation Applications Inc, LLC Contract to Implement Regulatory Recovery Boiler Controls

Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI) Exton, PA - June 15, 1998: Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI), announced today that it has been awarded a contract from Champion International Corporation to implement a recovery boiler control system on its Recovery Boiler No. 7.

AAI will provide the project management and engineering services necessary for the controls project including system design, Foxboro DCS configuration and graphics. Included in the project is start-up support and operator training.

AAI has implemented controls on over two dozen recovery boilers in the 90's. The company also offers an optimization package that optimizes the recovery boiler process to increase black liquor throughput, efficiency, and run time.
