Automation Applications Inc, LLC is Awarded Contract by Suncor Energy Inc., for Powerhouse Energy Management System

Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI) Exton, PA - July 7, 1999: Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI), a provider of process control solutions and engineering services, announced it has received a contract from Suncor Energy, Inc. in Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada for a Powerhouse Energy Management Control System.

Suncor Energy has selected AAI's Powerhouse Energy Management System including Real-Time Utility Tie Line Control, Coordinated Header Pressure Control, Boiler Load Allocation for 11 boilers, Turbine Load Allocation, Steam and Electrical Load Shedding for its facility in Ft. McMurray, Alberta. The controls including AAI's advanced solution technology (non-PID) will reside in a Honeywell Distributed Control System.

The project is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2000.
