Exton, PA - Oct. 27, 1997: Automation Applications Inc, LLC (AAI), announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Inland Paperboard and Packaging Inc. to provide engineering and procurement services for a new Stock Preparation Control System at Inland's Rome, GA mill.

The mill currently has in place a combination of DCS and conventional 'Bench Board' type control system in the Stock Preparation area. AAI has been selected to perform turnkey project management including all of the engineering and construction necessary to implement a 'Single Window' optimized stock preparation control system.

The project will feature a new Advanced Consistency Technique (ACT) recently developed by AAI. The new system will significantly improve dilution control, reduce variation in consistency, and improve overall process stability at various loads. Additionally, the user interface designed by AAI will automate a variety of functions that currently require manual control.
